Hydroponic gardening is simply growing vegetables or other plants in water. There are no soil used and everything that the plants need will be through the water. The nutrients in the water will need to be rich for the plants to absorb and grow.
As for tomato plants, they thrive well in a hydroponic garden. Just as long as the water is nutrient rich, the tomatoes will grow and taste just like as if they were grown in the soil. However, growing them in a hydroponic garden will need a bit more care than growing them outside.
With a hydroponic system, the environment can be controlled by the grower. This gives you an advantage over how the tomato plants will grow. The grower are in a position to control growth by means of temperature, humidity, lighting and of course, pH levels. The benefits from all of this is better tasting tomatoes.
In addition, the tomatoes will be less likely to suffer from diseases and pests that are found in the soil. No need to buy pesticides to prevent pest from destroying your tomato plants.

It will have everything that you need to get started such as detailed instructions, the necessary equipment, and the nutrient rich solution. There are more complex kits out there that comes with many more equipment so you should find one that best suits your need.
