If you want to grow a large amount of vegetables and fruits in a short time period, you should consider hydroponic gardening. This type of gardening will require more maintenance than regular gardening do, but you will reap the benefits later. In order for the plants to grow strong and healthy, they need to get off to a good start. When the seed first start to sprout, put composted bark, gravel, peat moss or expanded clay around them. For hydroponic gardening, there are nutrition solution prepackaged from the manufacturer that you can feed the plants with. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully because if you underfeed them, they could grow weak.

Hydroponic gardening is no different than with traditional gardening. Pests and diseases can affect the plants. The best way to avoid these problems is maintaining a clean growing environment. The area where the plant will grow should have adequate ventilation, the right room temperature, and monitoring the plants for problems frequently.
